BAR-CODE
"Barcode lines" are the lines and wrinkles above the upper lip, which initially appear as a result of facial expressions and, with the aging process, can become more pronounced even at rest.
In its initial stages, the "barcode" only becomes evident when performing actions such as talking, eating, or kissing, as it is a consequence of the contraction of the orbicularis oris muscle. Because it is a frequently used muscle covered by thin skin, these expression lines become more pronounced and deepened with age. Certain extrinsic factors can influence and accelerate the appearance of wrinkles at rest, such as smoking habits.
