TENSION WIRES

This non-surgical, instant facial rejuvenation procedure involves introducing fine biodegradable suture material under the skin with the help of a cannula for tissue repositioning. The goal is to stimulate fibrotic collagen.

Using ultra-fine threads—called poly-L-lactic acid, caprolactone (PLA-CL), or polydioxanone (PDO) threads—we can achieve an immediate lifting effect in areas such as the cheeks, jawline, and neck. Then, we begin to stimulate the production of new fibroblasts and collagen from within the skin. The end result is firmer, lifted skin that restores the V-shape and a youthful, healthy appearance.

Collagen biostimulators are substances that increase the skin's own production of collagen and elastin. They are ideal treatments for addressing signs of aging or for preventing them.

It consists of injecting various substances into the deep or superficial dermis, depending on the product used, and can be performed in areas with more sagging and loss of support, such as the middle and lower third of the face, neck, abdomen, arms, knees, and buttocks.

The production of collagen and elastin, and the redensification of the skin, is a lengthy process, therefore, the results of this treatment are not immediate, they appear gradually, and usually last for years.

Polydioxanone has been used in surgical sutures for many years because it dissolves and is absorbed by the skin within six months without leaving scars. When placed in subcutaneous tissue, it initiates a reparative process that produces new collagen and elastin fibers. The material is inserted using a fine needle, and once the threads are positioned in a mesh pattern in the correct area, the needle is gently withdrawn, creating a slight traction that leaves the thread in place. The lifting effect of this treatment is ideal for combating sagging skin (primarily in delicate areas such as the arms, knees, neck, and marionette lines), but it can be used on the entire face and body, always in a mesh pattern. These threads, unlike traditional lifting threads, produce less tension but more stimulation of type 1 collagen.

  • What are they used for?

  • Biostimulators are used to:
  • Reduce sagging;
  • Promote the restoration of lost facial volume;
  • Treat superficial wrinkles;
  • Improve skin texture. A thread lift can be a good option if your skin loses elasticity, feels sagging, and is slightly sunken. The threads provide a lifting effect, making the face look firmer and fresher without losing its natural appearance. In the months following treatment, collagen production also increases. Thread lifts are especially indicated for treating a face with sagging and excess volume. They are useful in treating marionette lines, defining cheeks, jowls, nasolabial folds, lifting eyebrows, crow's feet, and reshaping the nose; concealing a double chin or jowls; addressing body and facial sagging; and treating the neck and décolleté.
